What's so cool about being an officer?
Fun
This one is at the top of the list. Being an officer is way fun. We plan parties and get to setup cool activities and programs. You also really get to know the faculty and students.
Resume
We hate to even put this on here because being a SBME officer is so much more than a resume builder - but it's true! SBME is registered as the Utah chapter of BMES. BMES is the most prestigious and recognize professional organization for Biomedical Engineering. When employers see that on your resume they know you are a leader and contributor.

Every BME student has enjoyed the lounge and has had the opportunity to eat free pizza, print on free paper, etc. All this has been made possible by funding and the previous officers that put that funding to work. Want to give back to the next generation of BME students? Become an officer!
How do I become and officer?
It's easy. Drop us an email to find out when the next meeting is and you are in. You decide how much time you can give (we are all busy, right?). There is plenty to do - SBME needs you!
