Living Olympic Rings

The Keck Center for Tissue Engineering laboratories are located on the 1st floor of the Biomedical Polymers Research building  (BPR) in approximately 2700 square feet of space that consists of a variety of different laboratories that integrate various disciplines to develop tissue engineered products.  The BPR facility consists of an implant prototype design, fabrication, and testing laboratory; a biomaterials development and characterization laboratory; a bioreactor development area; two microscopy laboratories; a cell biology, immunohistochemistry and tissue culture laboratory; a cold room; an animal preparation, sterile dissection, and animal perfusion laboratory; and, a small animal sterile surgery suite.  This space forms the core of the research and development facility.
