- To discover and quantify fundamental biophysical, biomechanical and electrophysiological mechanisms underlying sensation of sound and motion by the organs innervated by the 8th and lateral line nerves.
- To report new findings in the primary/secondary literature, disclose new technologies and apply results to problems impacting health and the human condition.
- To promote continued advancement of human knowledge through education of students in bioengineering, mathematical physiology and vestibular/auditory science
