Current Research

Current research includes four main projects:
1) Basic science project to characterize and understand electrical changes in the heart during episodes of acute myocardial ischemia.
2) SImulation of electrical defibrillation in the clinical setting of implantable cardiac defibrillators, with special emphasis on children. (Collaboration with Pediatric Cardiology, UofU and Children's Hospital Boston)
3) CARMA: Image based analysis and electrophysiology of atrial fibrillation. (Collaboration with Division of Cardiology and Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research)
4) CIBC: Development of integrated software for image based modeling, simulation, and visualization.
